Up, but not awake, and other things

It's 6:22 am and my body is up, but my brain hasn't quite caught up yet. Had to get ds up for seminary at 5:20 since his class is at 6. Dh takes him, but I get him up. Most of the time I don't mind since it means I get a nice amount of quiet computer time with no interruptions. But there are some mornings that I would love to just stay in bed.

Well, I do have some good news to talk about. My ds Robert is getting ready to have his first non-relative paying customer in making a website. The friend of ours who did the cement work last yr, was chatting with me about things in general, and he happened to mention that he has been making custom made caskets for hunters. Each casket is differently made. Some of the materials are deer horns for the handles and flannel for the lining. Pretty much material that the hunter likes wearing or using. Anyway, he was talking about how he was trying to figure out a way to advertise this product and I mentioned websites. He said yes, that would be a good idea, he just didn't know how to make one. I mentioned my son makes them. His eyes lit up.

So needless to say mom is excited for ds. I think ds is very excited as well as a bit nervous. This should be interesting to see what else this might lead to for him.

In other news, my 2 oldest will be(and already have)getting braces. Both other kids went in about 3 weeks ago to get braces. Ds was able to get his, dd needs to have a better habit of brushing to get her gums healthy, then the dentist will put hers on. She's hoping that I will make the appt on Mon. I told her she needs to have a good 2 to 3 weeks of brushing really well and then we'll see. So far doing well.

And last, but not least, I just recently(along with a friend) have started our own new homeschool group. The one we were in was having some major issues with a mom and they wouldn't go away. So I left the group last week and she's in the process of leaving. She has a little more stuff to deal with. But we are excited. Check it out. Now some of the links still aren't in operation, but the main part is. www.hecg.robertcity.com
