I think we've finally managed to finish off with this nasty stomach bug we've had for 9 days. If you've been with me through out this journey, please be patient while I help others who haven't. We started out 1 week ago last Thurs night about 11:30. My dh and I were just settling for the evening when we heard a noise from our girls' room. I won't go into details, but lets just say I never went to sleep more than 30 min at a time all night. Luckily for her, after the first 2 times it was just air. But it was hard to get her to stop. Finally around 5:30 am as I was getting my ds up for his early morning seminary class, I managed to get her up and take her downstairs where she finally woke up enough to settle. I laid her on the floor in the school room next to me and she finally feel asleep for several hrs. That one was not fun since we had lots of laundry to wash and toys.
That was took 3 days before she was back to normal. Then last Tues we were celebrating my bday and all was well. Busy day. Around 4:00 my ds starts acting really funny and goes really pale. I knew something was wrong. An hr later he finally gets sick. Thank goodness he was ready. Again, 3 days later he was better. So now dh and I are asking other dd how she is doing. So far so good. But I told her that if her stomach started giving her problems to let us know. This was on the Thurs that ds was almost better. Sure enough, Fri morning around 3:30 am I wake to hearing someone in the bathroom. At least she made it out of bed. So from 3:30 till 5:30 we were in the bathroom, mostly resting. I did end up with bathroom duty myself but not that way.
Eventually I had her carefully walk downstairs to rest on cleaner floor and away from the family so they could sleep. I laid down next to her as she settled. Dh eventually came down and found us asleep. "Yep" I told him "her turn". So now it's Sunday and everyone is better. Dh had blah stomach but that was it.
So now we're hoping to have a better week and more after that. I've told the kids that they can't get sick any more this yr. We've had our fill. We'll see if they listen. :)
