1 yr ago today I was informed that my sweet mom had returned to our Heavenly Father to be reunited with her parents, aunts and uncles, cousins and my dad. She was a very dedicated mom and wife. She gave up a lot of material things so that my brothers and I could have what we needed and wanted.
Karen-Harwood was a fine person who saw no negative in anyone or anything. She raised us kids the same way. If something negative were spoken we were immediately stopped. She spent her life making sure her family was happy and taken care of. She was a faithful member of The-Church-of-Jesus-Christ-of-Latter-day-Saints. She was loved by all who saw her and got to know her. I feel very lucky to have been her one and only daughter among 3 boys.
I hope I have been and can continue to live as she did, caring for my family. My only fear and concern is that as life goes on, her memory will fade. Thankfully I have the faith and knowledge that someday we will be reunited and she will RUN, not walk or slide to me and give me a hug.
At her funeral we all invisioned her running to meet Grandma and Grandpa and other family. Running in the lilac field while it rained. She loved a good thunderstorm and her favorite flower(that I'm aware of) was the lilac.
I consider myself lucky that she is my mom and I was able to spend 43 yrs with her before she went home. I LOVE YOU MOM!!!
