Sad news

This morning as I was getting ourselves ready to do school work, I received an email from my oldest brother. He was letting me know that my grandma had passed away Tues morning. I won't say it's not a surprise because it was and yet it wasn't. She hadn't been feeling well lately and actually ended up in the same nursing home as my mom is in. My aunt told me last week in an email that she was barely eating and mostly sleeping. She was 94. She will be sorely missed by all. Now all my grandparents are gone. :( My dad passed away New Year's Even '07 and my mom is doing so so.

I'm so glad for the gospel in my life or right now I would really be losing it. It lets me know that someday I will see her and my other family again. I have kept my emotions for most of the day, but every once in awhile, I picture her face and talking and laughing with her and then the tears start to come. I'm very thankful I was able to see her one last time in Jan '08 at my dad's funeral. We have a really good photo of her and my kids. I think I'll have it printed and framed.

I love you grandma!! xoxoxo

Love hugs and prayers of comfort your way hun.

It is such a comfort to have the covenants and ordinances of the temple in our lives at times like this.

Thanks Ladies, very much appreciated.

And yes, Jess, it very much is. I find as long as I'm not thinking to detailed about it, I'm ok. Eventually I will break, but until then....

I'm sorry about your grandmother...Grandparents are the best. I never appreciated mine until 3 out of the 4 of them were gone. I'm thinking about you.
