Slowly getting better

Poor dh took the day off yesterday to try and feel better. He took ds to seminary and stayed so I figured he was ok. He arrived home and stated he had a call to take, but then he was headed upstairs. Thankfully his stomach has now settled for the most part. Unfortunately, he ended up with a nasty fever and a cold. So the kids and I just stayed downstairs and did our school work in the morning.

After lunch he made his way down and did some computer stuff. He did spend a lot of time just resting on the couch. Just after dinner(6:30) he went back upstairs. Around 7:30 hear this loud muffled whistle. Turns out he had been trying to get my attention for awhile. I felt bad. When I went up to check on him he was shivering. So I piled on the blankets and gave him some cold med. Then left him to rest. I told the kids that since dad was upstairs sleeping, they would be allowed to stay up and continue doing their stuff till bedtime AS LONG as they kept quiet. Thankfully they did. Eventually put the kids to bed at 9, checked on dh who was now pushing the blankets off. Guess his fever broke.

I then went to bed around 10:30 which is a record for me. Usually we head to bed around then, but then no sleeping until 11:30 or later. That's our time to chat with no interruptions. :)

This morning(6am) he seems a bit better, but he is stiff. It's going to be a long day for him.

Thanks ... I do believe that dh seems to get the worst of everything that we get. It's a wonder he gets frustrated when we all get sick lately, because he knows what he's in for.
