Well, it was a cloudy blah Friday. The kind of day you just want to sit around and do nothing. The bright side of the day was ds R finally sat down with his dad last night and got his eagle report figured out and photos ordered so they can get the presentation completed and finally handed in. This has been such a long process, but so worth it in the end.
I took dh to work since ds R has a campout this weekend and he wasn't sure he would get out of work in time to take him. I got home in time to wake up dd N and then we started. I told the girls they could play for awhile as long as it was quietly. They did well. Ds R continued on his editing of his Eagle. It's moving along, slowly, but at least now it's moving again.
Just before lunch we all jumped into the car and ran down to pick up the photos that were ordered. Then we had lunch and got ready for some company. While waiting on the friend, ds R got his camping stuff ready so he wouldn't have to after they left. A friend who came over last Fri wanted to see ds R again. So they spent about 2 1/2 hrs chatting together and the mom and I as well. Nice lady.
Around 4pm I called dh to see if he would be ready for us to come get him. He said yes, leave home around 4:30. So 4:30 we call just to verify again, throw camping stuff in car and then we head off. After dropping him off, we head off to do an errand then head home.
The house is quiet without ds R. We miss him, but know he's having great memories. After a bit dh got paged (6:30) and is still on his call at 10pm. Going to be a long night AND unfortunately he won't be able to sleep in since he gets to help do some babysitting for the Super Sat the sisters are having. The girls are hopefully watching a video while I'm sitting here typing. If I were to sit with them, I would end up falling asleep. Oh well, hopefully it will mean they will both sleep all night. Thinking of ds as he's out in the cold sleeping. :)
